Terms and Conditions

CustardAPL and Diego McCartney private photography lessons, prints, services, and workshops are based in Austin, Texas. 

 

Cancellation policy AND REFUNDS

Private Lessons:

  • Should Diego McCartney and or CustardAPL need to cancel the lesson, it is fully refundable, but we will work with you in every way possible to reschedule for another date. Though this not to be guaranteed or expected.
  • Lessons needing to be canceled due to weather will be rescheduled for a later date. We will contact you at least 2 hours in advance.

  • Should the customer need to cancel the lesson and not reschedule. It is required that the customer contact us at least 48 hours in advance before the time of their scheduled lesson for a full refund. We encourage you to work with us in simply rescheduling the lesson instead. 

  • Cancelation request less than 48 hours will incur a fee of 25% whatever total you paid for the scheduled lesson. 

  • Refunds will be paid in the same method that the original payment was made.

  • Refunds will be initiated within 72 hours of the time that the request is approved.

Workshops:

*Unless otherwise stated in the description of the workshop, the following cancellation policy applies for our workshops:

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space in the workshop, or you may pay in full.

  • Any remaining balance is due on a certain date stated in the description of the workshop, usually 15 days before the start of the workshop.

  • If the remaining balance is not paid in full, your space will be forfeited without any refund of the deposit.

  • If we do not meet the minimum number of participants and need to cancel, you will of course be fully refunded.

  • If you request to cancel at least 30 days before the start date of the workshop, we will refund you the full amount, minus a 20% service charge of the total amount paid. *This does not apply to the deposit amount*
  • If you request to cancel at least 15 days before the start date of the workshop, we will refund you the full amount, minus a 40% service charge of the total amount paid. *This does not apply to the deposit amount*

  • If you request to cancel at least 7 days before the start date of the workshop, we will refund you the full amount, minus a 75% service charge of the total amount paid. *This does not apply to the deposit amount*
  • No refunds will be issued for any cancellations less than 7 days before the start date of the workshop. 

  • Refunds will be paid in the same method that the original payment was made.

  • Refunds will be initiated within 72 hours of the time that the request is approved.
  • If you need to cancel your attendance to the workshop, Diego McCartney and CustardAPL may advertise the opening to others. If someone else signs up to fill your spot, we may refund you your deposit, but only if the spot sells to another participant.

*Please contact us if something unforseen comes up! We understand things happen!! We will work with you. 

Insurance and safety

  • By attending this workshop and or private lesson, you agree to hold CustardAPL and Diego McCartney and its employees and owners harmless for all personal injury or loss that may occur during or in connection with this trip, lesson, or workshop in its entirety. You are responsible for your safety during the entire duration of a workshop or lesson. Do not push your physical abilities past what you are healthy enough to do. You are in charge of deciding if a location is safe for you to travel to.

  • Diego McCartney and or CustardAPL's role in a workshop or lesson is to teach photography. You are responsible for your safety as you travel.We make no attempt to vet the other attendees of any workshop trip or lesson with multiple attendees.

  • In the event of extraordinary events, governmental instability, extreme weather, or other condition, Diego McCartney and CustardAPL reserves the right to cancel this any and or all lessons and workshops and return all fees to participants.

  • Travel insurance for you and your photography equipment is highly recommended as in unlikelihood of unfortunate circumstances, Diego McCartney and CustardAPL will not be liable for any damages to individuals or their photography equipment.

Terms of payment

  • All payments are done through our online/Squarspace secure portal page at (https://www.diegomccartney.com/payment). At this time, we only accept payment through all major cards through our merchant Stripe. To learn more about Stripe, please visit their website here. (https://stripe.com)
